Fuel prices began to rise on Saturday, with some gas stations increasing prices twice a day.
Compared to Friday morning, July 17, prices at OKKO and SOCAR increased by 2 hryvnias, at WOG – by 3 hryvnias, and at Ukrnafta, fuel prices rose by one hryvnia.
Below are the current prices at gas stations this morning and a comparison with Sunday morning prices.
We remind you that from July 1, new European fuel designations will be introduced at Ukrainian gas stations. Instead of familiar indicators, drivers will see markings E5, E10, B7, or B10 more often. With reference to the article by Finance.ua, we explain what to pay attention to in order not to make a mistake when refueling.
Experts advise first checking the designations on the inside of the fuel tank flap. On most cars manufactured after 2011, manufacturers already indicate compatible fuel types – usually E5 or E10.
Recommendations vary for cars of different production years:
- Cars manufactured after 2011 – usually compatible with E5 and E10, but it is better to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations;
- Models from 2000-2011 – primarily designed for A-95 gasoline (E5);
- Cars from the 1990s often poorly tolerate increased ethanol content, so E5 is recommended for them.
