What is the cost of state maintenance in institutions (what are the conditions)

When a pensioner is fully maintained by the state in a relevant institution, they are paid 25% of their assigned pension.

This is reported by the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Luhansk region.

Pension payment is made from the first day of the month following the month in which the pensioner was admitted for full state maintenance.

Pension and Maintenance Amounts

If the pension amount exceeds the cost of maintenance in the institution (establishment), the difference between the pension and the cost of maintenance is paid, but not less than 25% of the assigned pension.

Persons receiving pensions for special merits in accordance with Article 14 of the Law of Ukraine No. 1767-III of 01.06.2000 “On Pensions for Special Merits to Ukraine” and who are fully maintained by the state in the relevant institution (establishment), such a pension is paid in the assigned amount.

If a pensioner who is fully maintained by the state in a relevant institution (establishment) has non-working family members who are dependent on them, the pension is paid as follows:

25% to the pensioner themselves,

and the other part of the pension, but not more than 50% of the assigned pension amount, is paid to the specified family members.

If the pensioner did not live in the institution but was in the hospital or on vacation, then from the date of their departure to the date of return inclusive, they will be paid the pension in the assigned amount.

Orphans receive a pension due to loss of a breadwinner in full for the period of their full state maintenance, and it is transferred to their bank accounts.

Other children who are fully maintained by the state are paid 50% of the assigned pension due to loss of a breadwinner, and it is transferred to their bank accounts.
